![]() Because if you ask these people hoi 3 vs hoi 2 they will hands down say 2 was better. So any opinion you are given regarding 3 vs 4 take it with a grain of salt. People will give their opinion of the current hoi 4 (brand new) vs the current hoi 3 (multiple dlcs, patches and amazing mods) I think hoi 3 resource system made more sense and wasn't complicated enough to need simplifying.īut also keep in mind when you compare hoi 3 vs hoi 4. ![]() ![]() Which is a very good thing!īUT I agree with the person above who claimed to be ex military, the OOB is too simplified, and although I prefer the trade of hoi 4 over hoi 3. Plus you can probably fit 2 or more complete games of hoi 4 into a single hoi 3 game. While it is a lot easier to get into and ai is far better (although still lacking) it is still by far the better game. ![]() Or better yet, realize you made a stupid mistake somewhere during that 1st day of the game and end up restarting. Hearts of Oak takes yet another approach, this time focusing on improving what Hearts Of Iron 4 already has to offer instead of expanding anything and everything We get these improvements mostly by touching up the tech trees, focus trees, designers, and advisors, among other changes to make for a more balanced HOI4 experience. Then when war starts you have to babysit your armies because the ai is a vegetable and will destroy itself if given the opportunity. ![]() You can waste hours paused on January 1st 1936 setting up your nation just the way you want it. Hoi 3 is a confusing cluster of features and becomes too complicated too fast. As a gamer and no ex military or an armchair general but simply a gamer who enjoys strategy games here are my 10 cents: ![]()
